As the summer holidays roll ever closer, it is time to start thinking about how we are going to celebrate this season – and what we are going to wind up doing for what occasion. One of the great Aussie traditions is bringing either the family or a group of mates a couple of hours drive out bush or to one of our impressive camping grounds for a camping trip to remember.
Depending on how much you’re roughing it will detail what you need to bring with you. If you’re taking the caravan away to a powered site or if you’re renting a rustic cabin, you really will be doing a bit of a luxurious camping trip (plus there are even glamping trips that you can take these days, too). If you’ve just got a swag and you’re planning on plonking it in the middle of the bush somewhere, well then that’s something else entirely.
One of the most fun activities that you can do when you’re going camping is to sit around the campfire at night, maybe toasting marshmallows, having a nice wine, or maybe even a singalong.
